In a couple weeks, a handful of kids from Endicott (including myself) are participating in a fundraiser hosted by the North Shore Elder Services. They're having a night of Mystery, Music and Mirth where we are all the characters from the board game Clue. Sadly, we're not basing them on the movie characters. But I'm playing Mrs. White (who is supposedly unmarried? why the Mrs. then?), the maid. I get to hang out in the Hall for 4 hours, talking to guests and being generally bitter and complaining that I need a vacation. I can not wait ^_^
The even cooler thing about all this is that they are making a calendar for everyone who comes and the people the fundraiser is for. They came to Endicott last night and took pictures of all of us in costume. There's a couple group pictures and we each have an individual mug shot. I'm going to be on a calendar!! I hope I get one.
Because that wasn't awesome enough, the Danvers Herald also came and took pictures and interviewed a few of us about it. One of the pictures the photographer posed was me about to whack Mr. Green over the head with my feather duster. I also talked to the reporter and she wrote down some quotes. SO.COOL.

Well, in case anyone actually cares can come this time, we're doing a musical revue at Endicott on May 1st and 3rd and my song from Kiss Me, Kate will be in it! Not only will Too Darn Hot be in it, but I'm also in a few other numbers that might be in the show (the final list hasn't been figured yet): Stepsister's Lament, America, A Little Priest, and Take Me Or Leave Me.
Tickets are limited (it's in the black box), so I'd recommend getting them sooner rather than later. Ticket can be gotten online for only 6$.

So, as many of you know, a while ago the button to pop my gas tank open stopped working. This turned in a hilarious situation whereupon I had to pop my trunk to get gas. I was amused, friends were amused, all was funny (except to full service gas station attendants). Then a few weeks ago, I got a notice about needing to bring my car into Honda for an 80,000 mile checkup. No big deal, I just needed to wait til internship was over to have time to make an appointment. So last week when my oil change light popped on, I was still not worried.
Then, last week, I noticed that my trunk wouldn't shut. Unfortunately, it happened at rehearsal so my Dad had to come to school and take care of it for me. He couldn't get it to shut, so it has been held closed with a bungee cord for a week. Still, not a big deal. I just push it closed every time I get out of the car so the light goes off and get a headache when I drive on bumpy roads. Especially painful when I hit a pothole so huge I thought I was going to get a flat.
Yesterday, I went to leave for school to give me internship presentation and it wouldn't start. It was so windy the night before, it must have opened my trunk and the light was on all night. I freak out, call my professor and leave her a rambling voicemail, email her, and get ahold of another kid in my class to tell her I can't make it. She calls me back after the class and says it isn't a big deal, I can just go in tomorrow and present. I make an appointment with Honda for Friday.
Today, I go present my powerpoint at school and finally find someone (Tara) to go to a concert at Berklee with me tonight. I leave the house at about 4.45 to go do the backups before catching the train and BAM! loud noises and I can't steer very well. I pull over into the breakdown lane, stop my car, and my front right tire keeps going without me. Call Dad and he comes to save the day. He comes and gets the bolts off and he tried to jack up the car and he couldn't figure out how to work the damn thing. So he gets the one from his car and it takes a while to figure out which way to turn the damn thing to make it go up but finally it does. He yanks the wheel off, the car falls off the jack and he has to do it again to get the donut on. After getting the car high enough, the donut goes on, and I notice my flashers have gone off. The battery died while he was changing the tire. So there's no way we can jump it at that hour, we don't have cables long enough and there is too much traffic for Dad to turn his car around. We leave it and go home.
Catch the end of an episode of Stargate and 2 episodes of Star Trek: TNG. I get feeling in my toes and play with the dog.
We go back to jump my car at 9, and it is gone. I called the state police and they gave me a phone number of a towing company. I call the towing company, and he tells me they are in Newton, wouldn't have towed my car, and to try calling Andover staties. So I call Middleton (they're closer) and they tell me that Manchester PD towed it because my registration expired. I get confused because I was never notified, but she obviously can't help me with that. I get transferred to them and find out where my car is.
So tomorrow, I have to take the train and walk to the place that has my car, get my registration paper, go someplace with internet, renew my registration, then go back and hopefully get my car. So now I have to pay for my registration, the towing, a new tire (which I just replaced over the summer!), and my stupid 80,000 mile checkup/oil change/trunk fix/etc.
So basically, fuck.

Of all the terrible things that could ever happen to me this summer, this takes the cake.
The air conditioning in my car is broken. I spend at least 3 hours a day in my car. Honda can't take my car until Monday. Windows down doesn't do a bit of good when you're in stop and go traffic, no breeze to speak of. My ears can't take windows down going a normal highway speed.
I'm fucked.

You are in a mall when zombies attack. You have: 1. One weapon 2. One song blasting on the speakers 3. One famous person to fight along side you
FOR ME: 1. my Katana 2. Beer - Reel Big Fish 3. Captain Jack Harkness (he can't die!)

Dilemma ahoy!
My play runs April 3rd-5th. There's a pretty sweet concert I want to go to on the 6th, but I'm worried I'll be completely burnt out by that Sunday. I also don't really have the money to go, but its such a sweet concert and my birthday is coming that it matters less. Gah.
I also want to buy a skateboard.
